"Aldo van den Broek's artistic practice is a unique exploration of materiality and form. His creations, inspired by a diverse range of movements such as expressionism, brutalism, and the beat poetry generation, defy conventional boundaries. They embrace the rich textures of urban landscapes, with each piece infused with narrative continuity. Off-cuts from previous works reappear as motifs, adding a distinct layer to his new expressions.

Utilizing found materials —cardboard, wood, fabrics, plastic, soil, and metals—van den Broek crafts charged, texturized canvases and sculptures that pulsate with life. Employing playful assemblage techniques alongside a meticulous fusion of technical mastery, he reframes and re-contextualizes his subjects, inviting viewers to engage with layers of meaning and interpretation.

His artistic inquiry delves deep into contemporary society's pulse, challenging modern life's relentless pace while exploring themes of love, death, and the existential. Each artwork serves as a contemplative mirror, reflecting the intricate tapestry of the human condition and urging viewers to confront the complexities of existence.

Aldo van den Broek's compositions are an invitation to viewers, beckoning them on a journey of introspection and contemplation. They encourage a deeper exploration of emotions and experiences, inviting the audience to become actively involved in the profound quest to unravel life's fundamental questions."
